As an IFBC-EU Leader you will lead 8-20 retail investors through a Circle Experience, which gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of values-aligned investing, hone your leadership skills, and strengthen your network of like-minded individuals. In the process, you will learn alongside your friends, family, and colleagues.
The IFBC-EU local team will provide all the materials and tools you need to successfully facilitate a Circle experience. In addition, we will offer you two training sessions in the months before your Circle begins. During the trainings, you will learn how to build your Circle, recruit your members, and run your meetings. We will be there to support you every step of the way.
As an Invest for Better Climate EU Leader, you have a set of responsibilities to ensure that you and the members of your group have an outstanding Circle Experience. These responsibilities, which are expected to take 6-8 hours per month over a 3-5 months period, include:
Participate in two 90-minute live trainings that prepare you to effectively facilitate your group meetings. These trainings will start 6-8 weeks before the start of your Circle.
Recruit at least 8 women to join your Circle. These can be friends, family, folks in your extended network, or even new connections.
Schedule and facilitate five 90-minute Circle meetings over a 2-month period, using the training and comprehensive materials provided by the IFBC-EU local team.
Prepare in advance for each meeting. This includes conducting the pre-work assigned to your members, previewing Leader materials, and other set-up. You should expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours preparing for each meeting.
Communicate with your members prior to launch
and between meetings.
Join an (optional) 60-minute call once a month to share your experience with other Circle Leaders
Participate in a 60-minute feedback session with IFB and other Circle Leaders at the conclusion of your Circle Experience.
Some Circles are launched by a single leader, while others have co-leaders to share networks and logistics – and to make the experience more fun. Co-leaders can work together to recruit toward the 8-person minimum per Circle.
While a leader does not need to be an expert, she should understand financial and investment basics. We can also match less experienced leaders with veteran Circle Leaders. The most important quality for the Leader is the commitment to launch the Circle, reach out to your networks, and follow through.
To demonstrate our appreciation or your effort, Invest for Better Climate EU is paying a stipend of 500 EUR for solo leaders and 300 EUR each for co-leaders (up to a maximum of 600 EUR)
Opportunity to create a powerful place for you and members of your network to talk about money and learn about values-aligned investing.
Participate in leader-only conversations with IFBC-EU and Leaders, who launch their Circles at the same time and offer support via informal monthly check-ins.
Promotion of your Circle by IFBC-EU to their community, allowing you to showcase your leadership.
Stipend of 500 EUR for solo leaders and 300 EUR each for co-leaders (up to a max of 600 EUR)
